Primary Purpose: The Bonds and Capital Projects Accountant is responsible for the initiating, maintaining, reconciling and reporting of bond funds, debt service fund, and construction and maintenance projects in general operating funds. Uphold accountability standards, laws, regulations and practices by maintaining auditable records on all construction, maintenance and capital projects.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related from an accredited college or university recognized by the US Department of Education, preferred.
Experience:
- Three years of experience in school district budgeting (District wide) preferred with a large organization
- Experience with financial systems including the ability to access, utilize, and maintain data integrity across all financial systems and shared files
- Public sector experience with responsibility for capital construction financial transactions preferred
