The Certification Manager ensures that our members stay connected to TASBO and to the profession by seeking and earning a TASBO certification.  We are seeking someone who has a passion for public education. 

TASBO is 9,000+ members strong. You will meet some terrific people and have fun while doing so! 

The Primary Duties of this position include -

  1. Oversee the management of the association's certification courses. 
  2. Collaborate with content experts in the development and update of certification courses.
  3. Ensure certification course curriculum meets copyright standards.
  4. Develop and monitor work plans for assigned curriculum development and maintenance projects.
  5. Coordinate and deliver and/or facilitate certification instructor training.
  6. Monitor certification course enrollment for conferences and other events.
  7. Generate, tabulate, and share course exam data and course surveys with the Chief Certification Officer and instructors.
  8. Distribute course information, such as Know Before You Go (KBYG) to instructors and learners.
  9. Manage the certification help desk including the group email and phone calls, respond to questions, share information, and route to appropriate staff as needed.
  10. Assist the Certification Director in notifying certification applicants of unfinished criteria, incomplete documents, and outstanding payments.
  11. Manage and resolve issues related to certification course transcript credit.
  12. Prepare the annual certified public accountant (CPA) report for certification courses with continuing professional education (CPE) credit.
  13. Other duties as identified by the Chief Certification Officer

This position will travel to Annual, Summer and Operations Conference and other events as requested. 

TASBO believes in Professional Development.  This position is a member of TSAE, ASAE and ASBO International and will attend TSAE training events.  Pursuing the CAE certification is highly encouraged!

TASBO Offices are open, and staff reports Monday - Thursday.  Friday is a designated work from home day.  During the summer months, we work four-day work weeks, one of which will be from home. 

TASBO recognizes most school holidays including a two-week Winter Break.  In addition, we offer an additional 15 vacation days a year which may be taken at your discretion. 

Minimum of one year experience in Association Management; one or more years' experience in school business, preferred.
