Primary Purpose:
The Network Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, security, and maintenance of Crosby ISD's network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable network connectivity and optimal performance across all district campuses and facilities. The Network Manager will oversee network operations, manage related technology projects, and support cybersecurity initiatives to protect district data and systems in conjunction with the Technology Infrastructure Manager.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a minimum of 5 years of experience in the technology field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers,
and other equipment.
Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols
Ability to analyze and resolve computer network problems
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, interpersonal, documentation and organizational skills
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or management
Experience working in a PK-12 education environment preferred
Hands-on experience with Dell, Aruba, Linux, or similar networking hardware and software
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless technologies
Firewall Administration and Installation; FortiGate and FortiAutenticator experience preferred
Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows, Microsoft 365, and Hyper-V
Managing and maintaining a Hyper-V virtualization platform
Overseeing video storage and managing Hyper-V virtual servers
