Primary Purpose:
The NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR is responsible for effective provisioning,
installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software
and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and
development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual
ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related
procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in network administration.
Industry standard certifications preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of LAN and WAN Network design and installation.
Knowledge of network hardware and software applications.
Ability to work with multiple operating systems and protocols.
Ability to analyze and resolve network problems.
Experience:
Minimum of three years work experience installing, maintaining, and evaluating schoolwide network solutions.
