About the Role
We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our Technology and Information Services team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining, supporting, and advancing the district’s network infrastructure, ensuring our systems operate efficiently, securely, and reliably.
You’ll work across a broad range of systems, including LAN/WAN, Internet, video surveillance, content filtering, and other safety and security technologies. This is a highly collaborative position that requires both technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical and logical structure of all network systems (LAN/WAN, internet, telecom, etc.).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance.
- Coordinate and implement network designs, installations, and upgrades.
- Support capacity planning, security protocols, and performance tuning.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for current network policies, procedures, and technologies.
- Assist with cross-departmental technology needs and collaborate with campus and district staff.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local policy and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Must meet the District vehicle liability policy requirements and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.
- Experience with ContentKeeper a Plus: We value hands-on experience with ContentKeeper as part of our commitment to safe and secure digital learning environments.
