QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • Valid Texas Superintendent or Principal Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of effective research: change process, systems thinking,
  • organizational culture and adult learners
  • Ability to plan implement, deliver and sustain professional development for school and district personnel
  • Knowledge with education data in the State of Texas (attendance, accountability, assessment, PEIMS, special student populations, curriculum implementation, etc)
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization software such as Tableau, Google Looker, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience managing complex scheduling logistics
  • Ability to analyze input and output data in order to determine actions that impact outcomes
  • Ability to design and build polished slide decks
  • Proficient in google applications
  • Any acceptable variations of the above as approved by the Executive Director
  • Recommended by ESC Executive Director

CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Process all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional attire and grooming appropriate for specific job position
  • Demonstrate punctual and regular attendance on the job
  • Reports for work ready to perform responsibilities
  • Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the ESC
  • Upholds and adheres to safety rules and policies of the ESC
  • Performs professional responsibilities as required by ESC policies, processes, and procedures

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead advanced project management including identifying all key activities, owners,
  • Lead advanced project management including identifying all key activities, owners, success criteria, resources, and communication necessary to execute towards key milestones
  • Performance manage district progress towards key milestones and facilitate discussions to proactively mitigate risks and possible barriers
  • Lead (and in some cases fully conduct) the district EDF-aligned diagnostic data evidence-gathering processes and analysis (e.g., small districts)
  • Create data visuals and storytelling outputs that support a district superintendent and leadership team to understand strengths, opportunities for growth and inform decision-making
  • Co-prepare and facilitate with the TSL Lead Coach leading superintendent and district in diagnostic and strategic planning processes aligned to system and student outcome goals
  • Organize knowledge management systems and support with effective and efficient operations and logistics processes
  • Lean into learning experiences, demonstrate flexibility in program iteration and execution, as well as critical and creative thinking/problem-solving in providing meaningful feedback range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong project management of inputs, outputs, and outcomes, and achievement of targeted district strategic planning outcomes to be officially certified as a TSL Performance Management & Data Specialist
  • Work in collaboration with ESC8 staff to provide intra- and inter-departmental efforts for providing services and supports for district leaders
  • Provide services, supports, and technical assistance to districts
  • Provide on-site visits to districts as appropriate

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

  • Up to 226 working days
  • This is an at-will employment position
  • In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
