EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university or Associate’s Degree and two years Information Systems experience
Experience with data analysis and query tools (T-SQL, Crystal Reports, Excel)
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY:
Provides system support and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) system and any other related applications utilized by the Human Resources (HR) department. Maintains solid foundation and general understanding of information systems, data integrity management, reporting, project management and process improvement processes. Responsible for researching, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that impact data quality and integrity. Performs business requirement gathering and assists with the design and end-user testing. Designs reports by gathering business requirements and establishing standard and ad-hoc reports. Assists with upgrades, patches, functional validation, setup, testing and implementation of HR systems.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works under the direction of the Director of Human Resources to design, build, test, and maintain multiple modules in the Infor GHR system and leads small to large scale HRIS projects involving new functionality, process improvement, and related integration.
2. Responsible for data quality and integrity by ensuring system output is monitored, interfaces and systems are validated, and system security is administered appropriately. Coaches users to maximize system functionality and data output. Contacts and works with the IT community and vendor customer service as necessary to assist the customer in resolving system and/or data issues.
3. Provides technical expertise in the field of HRIS and reporting tools including the development of business intelligence reports and dashboards for HR and other District functions.
4. Maintains a broad understanding of the HRIS technology environment, advising internal customers on HRIS technology capabilities, and proactively identifying and recommending areas for process improvement.
5. Promotes data integrity and a stable HRIS environment through security and configuration decisions and development/maintenance of system controls and process documentation.
6. Designs customized reports and queries for all HR information systems and applications, including dashboards and metrics.
7. Collaborates with other departments on all design, testing, and implementation of third-party interfaces.
8. Develops and assists in the communication, training, and implementation of new systems, processes, enhancements, and system upgrades.
9. Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases, and assures information is available on a timely basis.
10. Performs group data updates, exports, imports, clean ups, and researches/reports on any data discrepancies.
11. Collaborates with HR and other departments to manage interfaces, ensure accuracy of the interface data and translations, and maintain a timely flow of information between systems.
12. Coordinates the daily workflow and conducts workflow analysis of all HRIS related information.
13. Ensures senior HR, IT, and Internal Audit staff are apprised of system issues.
14. Researches and resolves HRIS system problems and addresses unexpected results, system errors, or process flows.
15. Contributes to new technology projects, anticipates how implementations will affect existing programs, and offers alternative solutions for minimum disruption with maximum efficiencies to the system.
16. Utilizes subject matter expertise to proactively anticipate areas where existing processes can be improved leveraging human resources technologies.
17. Maintains confidentiality of information.
18. Reports to work on time every day.
19. Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of principles, practices and standards of human resource administration
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple efforts with strong results
• Analytical mindset with ability to troubleshoot systems related issues
• Advanced reporting skills using Crystal Reports and SQL
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to collaborate across functional areas
• Ability to handle a heavy workload, prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently, initiate and identify solutions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District
