Primary Purpose:

Oversee and manage various projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This individual is responsible for designing and delivering effective training programs to district staff. They also provide mentoring and support services to ensure district personnel have the resources needed to succeed in their role and grow within the organization. This position is responsible for Frontline systems as well as Business and Finance software.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, four (4) year college or university.
  • TASBO certification, preferred.
  • Applicants must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee
  • (approximately$50.00) to be paid by the applicant, before continuing with the process towards
  • possible employment.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  •  Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  •  Knowledge of Financial Accountability System Resource Guide.
  •  Knowledge of accounting systems applicable to school districts.
  •  Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  •  Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional technical, writing, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  •  Exhibit a high level of customer service, professionalism, and willingness to help campus and
  • department personnel.
  •  Ability to analyze and compute data with a high level of accuracy.
  •  Ability to design and deliver eLearning, instructor-led and blended learning curriculum.
  •  Ability to quickly learn new systems and techniques.
  • Works with urgency and purpose to drive organizational outcomes.
  • Design and content creation experience using Microsoft applications, Adobe Professional Suite, video
  • editing, and screen capture software.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years in a professional position related to the operations of Business and Finance.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Fiscal Management:

  1. Designs and implements training programs for the Business and Finance Department.
  2. Works closely with department and campus staff to help prioritize training needs, continuously improve training programs, and provide ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  3. Standardizes and reduces the variance of employee experiences across the organization by ensuring clear expectations and providing adequate resources and support.
  4. Facilitates learning on key products, processes, tools, and other professional development areas identified while ensuring learning assessments and practice activities measure knowledge transfer and understanding.
  5. Develops and implements operating mechanisms to increase team inclusion and collaboration, streamline communication among different departments and lead the team to work more efficiently and strategically.
  6. Implements best in class training methodologies to reach a broad audience with varying levels of experience and comfort with technology.
  7. Identifies training requirements and serves as an internal consultant to develop ideas and suggest solutions to operational performance issues.
  8. Provides technical assistance requiring analytical, evaluative, or constructive thinking which resolves daily work challenges.
  9. Represents the department with organizations to expand resources and introduce new initiatives to better support staff.
  10. Prepares and updates Business and Finance manuals and procedures.
  11. Maintains Frontline security and workflows.
  12. Assists with Frontline implementations.
  13. Oversees Frontline Central, Recruiting & Hiring, Equal Level, and other related Business and Finance software.
  14. Assists with reviewing and approving travel and activity fund requests.
  15. Conducts New Employee Orientation training.
  16. Provides research, analysis and problem resolution to determine and develop processes.

Other:

  1.  Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.
  2.  Attends conferences, workshops, and training.
  3.  Assists with Accounts Payable duties, including processing check runs, running reports, and approving accounts and checks.
  4.  Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between staff.
  5.  Other duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).

Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours.

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
