Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting

Primary Purpose:

The Director of Accounting & Financial Reporting is responsible for managing and overseeing all areas of assignment (accounting and financial reporting, accounts payable, campus and student activity funds, special revenue funds, external audit process, fixed assets, and mid-year PEIMS submission).  Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles, state law, contractual agreements and management needs.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or closely related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the US Department of Education
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA

Experience:

• Five years experience in governmental accounting or auditing
• School district or closely related industry preferred
