Job Description: Serves as the educational leader of the assigned campus. Manages policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure all students are supervised in a safe learning environment, monitors the approved curricula and supports the mission of the district. Guides the character of the school and serves as a model for staff. Organizes programs and activities designed to improve and enhance parental and community involvement. Builds a high performing team of teachers and support staff. Demonstrates dedication to helping students achieve personal and academic success by using proven best practices for teaching and learning; performs other duties as assigned. Experience Requirements: • 7 – 10 years of exemplary teaching experience or comparable leadership experience is essential. • Administrative experience as Principal, Assistant Principal, or in the area of instructional leadership. • Additional leadership experience on the campus or otherwise is essential. • Experience in an elementary or middle school preferred. Educational Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university – preferred. • Administrator’s Certificate appropriate for the Principal’s position or the ability to acquire it. • One year of work experience is equivalent to one year of college requirements.
