Algebra Teacher HS

Primary Purpose

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experience in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Education/Certification

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university 
• Valid Texas certificate with required endorsements or training for the subject and level area or SOE from Alternative Certification Program
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• Boerne ISD requires all Math, Science, Social Studies, English, and Special Education teachers to have ESL certification. If you do not hold the ESL requirement already, you will be required to obtain it uring your 1st year of teaching

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communicaton, and interpersonal skills
