The Coordinator Campus Data will ensure campus compliance with state requirements regarding attendance, discipline and PEIMS-reported district data. The incumbent will oversee data quality processes using Certify software and communicate data irregularities.

Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with central administration and campus level administration to reduce daily data irregularities using Certify software, On Data Suite software and Skyward
  • Meet with and train campus specialists and data stewards to effectively identify and correct irregularities regarding student data
  • Work with campuses and departments to validate information being submitted to the Texas Education Agency
  • Oversee daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly reports to ensure there are no data entry errors
  • Develop processes to train and educate departments and campuses on how to read and correct error messages and errors on reports
  • Oversee TEASE applications for district personnel
  • Review weekly uploads into On Data Suite software and monitor state limited scope audits and accountability data validation
  • Conduct on-site visits to campuses to meet with data teams to support data quality endeavors
  • Work with the Skyward Team to ensure data entry protocols are in place
  • Seek effective school processes that can be implemented district-wide
  • Coordinate meetings and trainings for data stewards and attendance personnel
  • Update procedure manuals annually as they pertain to attendance and data teams
  • Attend and conduct necessary training regarding PEIMS, TREx, PID, PET and TSDS-related job functions
 Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred degree type: Information Technology or related field
  • Will consider 6 years of student information reporting and collecting experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree requirement
  • Texas Association of School Business Officials Certification (TASBO) Preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years working with student administrative products, gathering, collecting and reporting data
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Texas public school PEIMS-TSDS, discipline, attendance, and data connections to accountability
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TEA Data Standards and Student Attendance Accounting Handbook (SAAH)
  • Ability to collect and report school district data and train support staff in these areas
  • Ability to be well organized and capable of documenting processes necessary to complete state reporting tasks
