About the Role:
As the Principal of Round Rock High School, you will lead one of the district’s flagship campuses with a commitment to excellence, equity, and innovation. This role calls for a visionary instructional leader who models the RRISD Leadership Definition:
Make a commitment to equity, champion the needs of all, invest in the growth of staff, and inspire continuous improvement through clear vision and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Talent Development
- Lead recruitment, placement, supervision, and evaluation of staff
- Foster leadership capacity through mentorship and distributed responsibilities
- Provide meaningful feedback and professional development
- Recognize employee contributions and ensure effective onboarding
Instructional Leadership
- Implement high-quality, research-based instructional strategies
- Guide data-driven decision-making and collaborative goal setting
- Ensure equitable learning experiences and effective integration of technology
- Supervise curriculum design and instructional delivery campus-wide
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Use data to identify priorities and monitor progress toward goals
- Oversee campus budgets, staffing, scheduling, and compliance
- Ensure campus safety, emergency preparedness, and efficient facilities management
- Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
Community & Culture
- Engage parents, PTA, volunteers, and community partners in school life
- Celebrate student and staff accomplishments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with civic and business leaders
- Facilitate two-way communication to foster transparency and trust
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field
- Valid Texas Principal Certification (or equivalent)
- Experience in school leadership (e.g., Assistant Principal, Associate Principal, Principal, or comparable roles)
- Strong leadership, instructional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of TEA, UIL, and state/federal education guidelines
- Skilled in data analysis, coaching, strategic planning, and conflict resolution
