Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Principal to join our educational leadership team. The Assistant Principal will play a crucial role in supporting the Principal in managing school operations, enhancing student learning, and fostering a positive school culture. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to educational excellence, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal in developing and implementing curriculum development strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Lead and supervise faculty and staff, providing guidance and support to enhance instructional practices.
  • Manage school budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support educational programs.
  • Engage in strategic planning to set long-term goals for the school’s academic success and community involvement.
  • Oversee student discipline and behavior management, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to design professional development opportunities that enhance instructional quality.
  • Participate in fundraising activities to support school initiatives and programs.
  • Foster relationships with parents, community members, and local organizations to strengthen school partnerships.
  • Monitor student progress and implement interventions as needed to ensure academic success for all students.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree with Texas assistant principal or other appropriate Texas certificate.
  • Possess Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) Appraiser certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in education administration or leadership roles within a school setting.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability in budgeting and resource management.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with experience working with students and staff.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on collaboration.
  • Experience in strategic planning within an educational context is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners.
