  • Primary Purpose

     Funding: 100% Federally Funded, National School Lunch and Breakfast Program

    • Facilitate a close working relationship between the District and the Food Service Management Company (FSMC), provide direct assistance to the FSMC Director, and perform all administrative duties as assigned.
  • Education / Certification

    • Bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition, dietetics, home economics, or food service management preferred.

  • Special Knowledge / Skills

    • Knowledge of counting and claiming reimbursable meals. 
    • Knowledge of processing free and reduced price meal applications.  
    • Menu planning, food purchasing, and preparation of foods in a food service environment.   
    • Ability to manage budget and personnel. 
    • Ability to coordinate district function.  
    • Ability to implement policy and procedures.  
    • Ability to interpret data.  
    • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    Experience

    • Five years experience in food service management preferred.  
    • Three years experience in a K-12 food service environment.
