QUALIFICATIONS:

          Required

  • Associate degree in a related area with a focus on mathematics, engineering, or computer studies
  • Accredited Texas Energy Manager (ATEM) Certification
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field

           Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area with a focus on mathematics, engineering, or computer studies
  • Previous supervisory experience

          Special Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of energy management program development
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical plans and specifications for building facilities
  • Knowledge of basic types of automatic controls and systems instrumentation
  • Knowledgeable of personal computers and related software applications
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

        Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Energy Supervisor in integrating Energy Management Program goals with district operations maintenance staff.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring the Energy Management Program.
  • Assist the Energy Supervisor in developing the Energy Star Program.
  • Assist the Energy Supervisor in the district-wide Waste Disposal and Recycle Program.
  • Acts as district liaison to provide optimum facility comfort.
  • Assist the Energy Supervisor in energy conservation studies and reports.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with the District’s Energy, Solid Waste, and Recycle Management Program.
  • Works with administrators, students, parents, and the community on an energy awareness program.
  • Collect and analyze energy consumption data from various sources, including utility bills, meters, and monitoring systems.
  • Assist in identifying trends and patterns in energy usage to inform decision-making and optimization strategies.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of energy consumption and related metrics.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing energy usage, savings, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain documentation related to energy management activities, including project plans, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to energy management and conservation.
