Direct and manage the District’s transportation and vehicle maintenance program. Oversee maintenance of all district-owned vehicles. Ensure safe and efficient operation of transportation department.
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prefer valid Class B Commercial License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements
Experience:
• Three years of supervisory experience in transportation operations, preferably with a public school district
• Five years of experience in pupil transportation industry preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to direct and manage the operation of a fleet of vehicles
• Knowledge of transportation
• Knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage resources, including budget and personnel
• Ability to facilitate and collaborate with others to coordinate district functions
